Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) are considered the best times to visit Bhutan. These seasons offer pleasant weather, clear skies, and beautiful landscapes. Winter (December to February) is also a great time for a quiet experience, while the monsoon season (June to August) is wet, but the country is lush and green
The official currency of Bhutan is the Bhutanese Ngultrum (BTN). However, Indian Rupees (INR) are also widely accepted. It’s advisable to carry both currencies, especially if you plan to visit more remote areas where ATMs may not be available.
The official language is Dzongkha, but English is widely spoken, especially in tourist areas. Most Bhutanese also speak their regional dialects.
Bhutanese cuisine is based on rice, vegetables, and meat (particularly pork, beef, and chicken). Popular dishes include Ema Datshi (chilies with cheese), Phaksha Paa (pork with chili), Momos (dumplings), and Jasha Maru (spicy chicken stew). Bhutanese food is generally quite spicy, so be prepared!
