Overview

Yamunotri is the source of the Yamuna River and is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites. It is located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3,293 meters (10,804 feet) in the Garhwal Himalayas.

Gangotri is the source of the Ganges River, and it holds immense religious importance in Hinduism. The Gangotri Temple is located at an altitude of 3,042 meters (9,949 feet) in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand.

Itinerary

From Delhi Departure to Haridwar. Dinner & Overnight stay at Haridwar.

Drive to Barkot Via Dehradun and Mussoorie. Enroute Visit of Kempty fall and later drive straight to your Barkot Hotel for Night Stay.

Drive to Hanumanchatti, from here you have to take a local jeep for Jankichatti (It helps to reduce the trek upto 8 kms), trek start from here to Yamunotri (6 Kms). Either by walking or by horse or Doli or poni at your own cost. After darshan at Yamunotri Temple, later back to Barkot for Night Stay at Hotel Barkot.

Drive to Uttarkashi via Tehri Dam. Check into a Hotel in Uttarkashi. Evening free to visit Uttarkashi.

Early morning drive to Gangotri via Harsil. After Gangotri darshan we return to Uttarkashi. Overnight Stay at Uttarkashi hotel.

Early morning drive back to Delhi. Check in & overnight stay at Haridwar.
