Itinerary
You’ll be greeted at the airport/railway station and then be driven to Kaziranga while being shown around some local places. After checking into the hotel, the whole day is for you to relax and enjoy followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.
Your day begins with seeing rhinos, elephants, deer, boars during the Elephant Safari at the park. After a scrumptious breakfast, you’ll be visiting the beautiful Orchid garden and the Tea Estate. This visit will be followed by a transfer to Bhalukpong where you can have a spectacular view of the Brahmaputra river over the Kolia Bhomora Bridge.
You can drive through Tezpur town and spend time at the renowned Madhav Bhairav Temple. An overnight stay at Bhalukpong hotel follows.
Optional: For a closer stint with nature and wildlife you can also go for a Jeep Safari in Kaziranga (charges extra)
After a delectable breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be leaving for Dirang. Enroute you’ll be visiting the Yak Research Centre, Orchid Research Centre, hot water springs and enjoy some stunning views of the natural waterfalls.
After breakfast, you’ll be driven to Tawang and on the way, you’ll be visiting the war cemetery. Next is the Sela Pass, which is at the altitude of 4114 meters. It is famous for its scenic beauty and altitude lakes. It looks beautiful especially in winters when its ideal for ice skating. The Paradise Lake and Jaswant Garh are other tourist attractions you’ll be visiting followed by overnight stay at the hotel in Tawang.
After having a delicious meal in the morning, you’ll be visiting the Tawang Monastery, Tawang Ropeway, the craft centre and the famous Singer Ani Gompa. In the evening, you’ll be returning to the hotel followed by overnight stay.
Just after breakfast, you’ll be leaving for Bumla Pass i.e. the Indo-China border and visiting Madhuri Lake and P. T. Tso Lake enroute where you can have some great pictures clicked! The evening is for you to explore Tawang on your own and relax for a bit followed by the overnight stay in the hotel.
After a delicious breakfast, you’ll be driven to Bomdila by road. Enroute you can take some great snaps at the Jung Waterfalls. After checking into the hotel and lunch you’ll be taken to see the Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery, Thu Chog Gatsel Monastery, Nuranang Falls and the Bomdila View Point. Bomdila offers great panoramic views of the Himalayan landscapes and the snow-clad ranges. In the evening, you can take a stroll down the local market and collect souvenirs or gifts to make your trip a memorable one.
Early morning, soon after breakfast, you’ll be taken to the Bomdila View Point again to take in the last glimpse of the picturesque town followed by a road trip to Guwahati. If time permits, you’ll be able to pay a visit to the holy Maa Kamakhya Temple after which you’ll be dropped to Guwahati Airport marking the end of your journey!
