Amazing cedar woods fill the place and make it extremely beautiful, this great heavenly spot is constructed on a rock which is believed to be in the image and likeness of goddess Hadimba herself. The architecture of the Hidimba Devi temple, with its wooden gateways, dividers, and cone-shaped rooftop, this sanctuary is flawlessly devoted to the Goddess Hadimba.
Vashisht Temple was discovered a couple of kilometers from Manali. The magnificent little town on the east of the Beas River is a real pioneer’s paradise. Tourists love to visit this spot which gives a nice view of the entire town. Vashistha town is extremely significant regarding the Indian Hindu culture as one of the sapta rishis Vashistha stayed there for quite a while. There is a hot water spring known as Vashisht kund in that town. Rishi Vashisht, upon knowing about the death of his children who were killed by Vishwamitra tried to end his life, yet the stream wouldn’t let him. Thus the stream was named as Vipasha which infers ‘ freedom from bondage.’ It was later known to be the Beas River.
